View Full Version : fun car show just outside colorado! you get to drag race! lol

I've gone to this show a few times and its a blast! trying to get the truck all finished up for it and just figured i'd tell you guys about it. Very worth your time, they even police escourt you out to a air strip where there is no rules drag racing for a few hours on saturday! beer, bowling, bbqs, live bands, racing, fireworks etc. Its a great family weekend thing! check out their web page:

That is pretty cool, I had family live in atwood and oberlin so I know right were thats at. Cool little town.

This reminds me of Cruise night in Kearney, NE.. Very cool. Might have to do this!

Is it for Rods only? What would they do if we rolled up with a pack of Corvettes? besides get their asses handed to them on the track?

I went to this a few years back tons of fun the cops there dont care at all pretty much for those three days people were doing burnouts and racing all over atwood nobody cared at all it was a blast, every kind of car truck and bike you can imagine was out there the drag strip at the airport was only 1/8th mile and there were no lights or anything but so long as you dont spill your beer while your racing (not kidding actually saw this) its ok!

Couldnt get the days off of work would have been a blast though I would reccomend it to anyone

Atwood, KS show is a great time, ..., lots of things to do.
And racin' on the airstrip too!

Kearney Cruise Night is a 'Must-do' for anyone in the midwest!

There's also a great show north of Grand Island, in St.Paul, NE. (GCA Days weekend.)
They also have drag racin' on a county road after the show.
